Oates, the latter a hoy in his early teens, scored 17 each. Other scores wore N. B>. Smith 16, 11. Newton 15, A. IF Churches and FT Hills 14, T. Wilson 12, and S G. Glennie (retired). In a dmihle-rise match of seven pairs, with 24 entries. F. L. Joblin broke 13. birds out of 14, W. Oates 12, S. G. Glennie and (!. Glennie 11. These scores represented particularly good shooting. There was a strong entry, too, for the 12-bird match which followed the double-rise, 23 guns taking! their marks. H. Wilson and F. Smythe divided the prize money, both making possibles, while S. G. Glennie. W. Semmens, (A Moore and W, Oates broke 11 apiece. The 'final match was a gimeraek of live birds, in which 11. Wilson and 0. Solvander tied: dividing the sweepstake.
