BRITISH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SUVA, Oct. 17. The Governor has received a telegram from tho Secretary of State for Dominion \ffaivs announcing that it had been uc(‘.i(|,M| 1,, offer Fiji £20.00) for three years towards the interest on the rust of public works. The Government of Fiji is anxious to complete three major public works the I’ewa bridge, the road round the island of Yiti Leva, and the road from Cuvu to Yalta. The total cost of the works is estimated at 2161.000.
