NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE
A VITAL NECESSITY LOYAL CO-OPERATION (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. Speaking at a Rotary dinner, Lord Bledisloe said: “We are up against cooperation in every part of the world as the basis of successful husbandry. In b utter *we are up against Denmark. 1 know Denmark almost as well as mv own country, and I know co-operation is carried into every field there. As regards cheese, I hardly trust myself to speak about cheese, because there are so many controversies in regard to it. You are up against Canada, which also is a. country where co-operation is practised. Without co-operation neither Denmark nor Canada could hold its own against the products of this country, far though she he from her markets.
“The whole essence of co-operation is a spirit of mutual service and absoluteloyalty to your co-operative organisations. 1 have ever hoped and believed that- New Zealand will realise this in her primary industries, and her other industries as they expand, and I am certain that when her products are. in keen competition with co-operatively organised and managed industries she. must cooperate strictly, rigidly, and meticulously herself.”
