DIRECTORS MEET VISIT or JAPANESE DELEGATES The bon rd of directors of the Y.W.C.A. held its monthly meeting this week. Mrs. CL Holdsworth presided jovei* .1 good attendance oB members, in-- | eluding Mesdames Anderson, Ba'yly, ! Faulds, Faulkner, Hutchinson, McKee, (Reynolds, Robertson, Witty, Parnell, j D'v. Nina. Muir, Miss Adair, and Miss Perry. Mrs. Parnell is now acting as lion, secretary, in place of Mrs. Stewart, who is on leave of absence.
The association has lost the help of Two of its most valued members. Airs. F. W. Riach, who, is leaving the district, was formerly one of the vicepresidents and also chairman of the membership committee, and member of the executive as well as of the finance committee. Her valued advice will be a great loss to the board. Miss 11. L. Brown, who is leaving the district temporarily, has had to resign as lion, treasurer. The hoard realises that it will be impossible to find anyone who lias given s'ucli splendid service. Her oliice as lion, treasurer lias involved the care of all the finance of the association, including all the book-keeping, and her expert' financial knowledge has always been available to the hoard. The hoard is tit, present, unable to find anyone who is willing and able to carry on the duties, and Miss Brown is kindly retaining her duties for a further month. Arrangements for Miss Kimura's visit are well in hand, and the hoard approved the draft programme for her welcome during the first-week in June. She will be the guest of Airs. ('. Blackburn, and every women’s and girls organisation will he given an opportunity of meeting Miss Kiimira. One* of the most important events will he a, girls' rally in the Opera House on the Thursday evening, in which every girls’ group will take part in a grand march ; an excellenl short programme will follow- Miss Kimura’s address.
