Owing to the presence of keen outside buyers 'lheie was a rise of about 3s per head in fat sheep‘at the Feilding stock sale to-day, when a good yarding of fat lambs (prirnest) went up to 20s 9d, good 17s to 18s, medium 14s 6d to 16s Id. Fat ewes (prirnestj made 21s 6d to 235, good 19s to 19s 6d, medium 17s 4d to 18s 3d, fair from 14s Gd; fat 2-ths (goodj 24s 6d ; 2-th wethers 22s 4d; Stores—s-year ewes r.w. S.D. rams 17s 9d ; 4 and 5-year do. to 18s Id; 4-year do. 24s 3d; lambs, ewes, woolly, 20s 4d, m.s., poor, 6s 7d, b.f. woolly 11s 8d; 2-th wethers 19s sd. In’dairy’stock, springing heifers made £ls, for choice lines; others from £7 5s to £lO 10s; springing cows £8 10s to £9. Store cattle were easier, Jersey cows making £4 ss, young cows £2 6s, empty heifers £4, P.A. cows £2 17s 6d, weaner heifers £2 14s to £3 2s, red cows to £2 18s 6d, black and white cows £3 to £3 12s. STUD HEREFORD SALE BUSHY PARK OFFERINGS (Per Pres* AHROcistion.l WANGANUI, last night. An important cattle sale was held at Bushy Bank, Kai Iwi, to-day, when Mr. G. F. Moore disposed of about 100 bead jf stud Hereford stock. Mr. G, M. Currie, Kai Iwi, paid 250 guineas for a yearling bull, the highest price for the day. The noted sires, San Carlos, calved in 1924, and San Gabriele, calved in 1925. realised 67]. and 60gns. respectively. Mr. Moore stated that lie was quite satisfied with the results of the sale considering the ruling juries of produce. Buyers from Invercargill, Hawke’s Ray, Rangitikei. Wairarapa, Te Kniti. Wairoa, and Gisfbojne were present.
