GATHERING AT TOLAGA AN ENJOYABLE MEETING Although the attendance was not all that might have been desired, the Tolaga 1 lay Spoils Club's meeting, held on Saturday on the attractive domain at tolaga Hay, was a highly successful lunetion—and one which proved most enjoyable to the many parties who made a picnic of the sports. The programme was a lengthy and well varied one, and the entries generally were good, keen competition being seen in many of the classes. The chopping events in particular attracted much .VteHion v

the numerous horse events, all of which were well entered lor, were watched with the keenest enthusiasm. The horse events were judged by Mr. J. A. Eivers, and Messrs. W. Farrell and J. If.
