Relations between Tibet and the 111(ban State of Nepal are still strained, following the seizure in the Nepalese Agency in Lhasa, the Tibetan capital, of a man alleged to he a Nepalese trader.

Chinese troops are reported to he moving towards the Tibetan frontier from tlie north. This may lie only a threat t,, induce the Tibetans to reinstate, the Tnslii Lama, who is now in Mukden, AlaiieJiurin.
Once in power in Tibet the Tashi Lama would be pro-Chinese and would aid China, to regain her former influence in Tibet.
Relations between Tibet arid Nepal are still strained.
Russian agents are reported to he trying to bring about u Russo-Tihetan rapprochement. The Soviet Government- lias secret agents at Lhasa ami Shigatse.
