SOUTH ISLAND MEETING: (Per Preps Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. For the South Island shooting championship the weather was again ideal today. Results:—■ Nelson match, 10 shots at 600 yards.— A grade: £4, G. T. I'atoheit, Blenheim, 48; £3, M. H. Mcintosh, Blenheim, 47; £2, J. B. Bairstow, Carterton, 47. Seven take £l. with scores from 47 to 46, and 12 take 10s with from 45 to 44.
B grade: £2, D. Vallanee. Wairau Valley, 45; £1 10s, W. Hughes, Owen Junction, 45; £1 each, J. D. Edmonds, Christchurch, 44; F. Young, Kaiapoi, and Mrs. J. T. Lovell, Northbatik, 44. Colonel Smith's trophy for the highest aggregate, in the Canterbury and Otago matches was won by E. X. Wrigley, Opaki, with 93.
