The series will be continued on Monday, and the Master golf tournament, commenced to-day on the Awapuni links, will be concluded.
Anusteur athletes, horsemen, and axemen should parade in Force at the Waikohu Returned Soldiers' sports meeting at To Kaiaka Domain on Monday, and a lengthy programme of sprint, running, cycling, field, bowse, chopping, and miscellaneous events should provide interesting entertainment. The attendance should include many townspeople, in addition to a large number of country residents. •
Those who anticipate venturing a little further , afield will probably keep the VVaipiro Bay sports fixture on Monday before their notice. As usual, horsemen have been well catered for, and some fine performances should bo Seen in view of (he standard of horsemanship among the pakehas and natives there. The programme, which it eludes running and miscellaneous items, should prove an exce.ptivnal.lv interesting one. The Mamitnke Sports Hub's meeting at Te Arai Domain will be another attraction on Monday and Ibis function should have good patronage from f'.isborne residents. The fixture is noted lor its attractive programme, while previous meetings have owed their success to efficient, administration and keen eontests.
Convenient timetables have been arranged by the Railway Department, for the public attending the gathering at Te Karaka, while bus transport services will cater for people visiting the Manutuko meeting.
