ATTEMPTED ARSON CHARGE

(Per tress Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Edward Harold Alexander, 27, a. confectioner, was remanded to-day on ;i, charge of wilfully attempting to set fire to his house at Qriehunga. It is alleged that a neighbor looked through a window and discovered a burning candle lying on a mat. The police found the house locked, but they extinguished the caudle.
