Advice was received today of the departure from Auckland of the dredge Korua,..on her return to Gisborne alter her. survey and overhaul at the northern port. The dredge, is to make the journey under her own power, it having been found inconvenient to arrange, for a to" within a period of several days. She is not covered by insurance, but the crew jaj'O subject to policies. The dredge master, Capt. Miller, has been given full (discretion us to the lime taken over the trip, and weather forecasts are regarded as highly favorable. Should the journey be- uninterrupted and completed Without (iclay, the dredge should he 'back in her home waters by Saturday .evening. During the pasC three weeks she has been receiving attention to her dredging .gear, the bottom tumbler of thp. bucket-ladder having been reconstructed to standard measurements by the electric welding process.
