OPENING OF INQUEST (Per Press Association.) I'AL.MKRSTON N., lust night. The, inquest was comirienced to-day into the death of Kiuil Bvandeis, who died in hospital as it result of a motor collision on the Foxton-Sanson road on April 6. Evidence was given by the, driver to the effect that lie was well on the correct side arid slowed down to pass Brandeis, who was oil a motor-cycle with two passengers in a sidecar. Motor traffic had heaped the metal up in ridges and ho thought that bossilily the motor cyclist had been deflected from his course by one of these, witli the result that the machine, had been thrown against tint car. The inquest was adjourned, as one of the passengersiill the side-car is unable to give evidence at, present, owing io being under a doctor,
