CIVIL WAR CLAIMS

TINAL DATE FIXED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. September 20 next has been fixed as the final date for the receipt of claims under the treaty of St. Ger-main-en-Lavre from British nationals resident in New Zealand, arising out of acts committed by the former Austro-Hungarian Government .or any Austrian authorities between July 28 and August 12, 1914. An example of a claim would be that of a person who had suffered loss by an act of the Austro-Hungariau authorities such as illegal detention after July 28, 1914, and prior to th* outbreak of war with Austria. ■ All persons who have claims of this nature are'advised to communicate immediately with the Publie Trustoo as controller of the New Zealand Clearing Office, who will supply them with the necessary forms to be completed and advise them as to their claims. A time limit is enforced to enable finality to be reached on the claims concerned.
