At the Addington market, on account of the uncertainty of the freezing position, and the intervention of the Easter holidays, entries in all fat stock sections were smaller to-dav, and last week’s values were more than retained. The store sheep entry was smaller and there was little improvementin values. The best long wools and crossbred owes improved up to Is Gd a head, but the bulk of the entry, halfbreds and Corriedales, receded by that much except for good sorts. Erica prime wethers to 30s lOd; prime' wethers- 2Gs to 28s; medium wethers 22s Gd to 25s Gd; light wethers 18s to 225; extra prime ewes to 25s 4d; prime ewes 18s to 21s; ordinary ewes 15s to 17s; light and aged ewes 10s to 14s. Fat cattle. —A small entry of 365 head. The few good cattle showed a slight rise; other qualities being practically unaltered. Best beef made from 38s to 41s per 1001 b.; medium heavy 34s to 375; and indifferent down to 275. Fat pigs.—A heavy entry, particularly of porkers and a slow sale.
Porkers 48s to 535; heavy porkers 58s to £3 3s; average price per lb. 71d to Bid; light baconers £3 10s to £3 17s Gd; heavy baconers £4 to £4 10s; extra heavy baconers to £5 7s—average price per lb. Gd to Gfd. Store pigs.—The entry of store pigs was a large one and all classes were decidedly easier, wcaners selling with difficulty. Large stores 35s to 41s; medium stores 22s to 275; small stores 17s to 21s; weaners 4s Gd to 14s.
