HOSPITAL DISPUTE
DOCTORS AND MATRON THREATS TO RESIGN (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. As tiic result of a dispute at Taihapo Public Hospital, throe doctors who have private practices threatened to resign unless the matron vacated her position. The YVunganui Hospital Board inquired into the position and decided that tin; matron should stay. At a board meeting yesterday during the discussion it was mentioned that two of the doctors up there have institutions of their own. and that Ihey put linaneial patients in their own homes and no! in the public hospital. A resolution was carried that the doctors be informed that the W'ungamii Hospital I'.o.iid could nol see its way to ask the matron of the Taihape Hospital to resign, and that, they be asked to reconsider their resignations.
