Cray said he made an application to the Australian Jockey Club; but this was not granted. There was no reason given lo him a, io why his application was refused, lie had 'letters from proiniueuj citizens and racing men in New Zealand, and was also willing lo appear before the committee, hut was uol given an opportunity.
