DUE TO LAXITY
RAILWAY FATALITY TWO OFFICIALS FOR TRIAL SYDNEY, Feb. 14. The coroner’s inquiry conclued into the railway accident at Warrimoo on .January 27, wiieu the driver and firemen were lulled.
Die evidence showed that the accident was due to the laxity of certain officials, who left ttie lock off the catch at certain points, causing the derailment.
me coroner found that a pilotmao, Robert hindmarsh, and a flagman, Alexander Jollen, were guilty of culpable negligence, and committed both for trial, nail Liemg allowed in £SO. Thomas Berkley, signalman at Blaxland, was severely censured. Hindmarsh was described as a man totally unfitted to be a pilotlnan, hardly one of his duties being properly carriea out.
