The new motor ship Port Waikato left Adelaide on Wednesday in continuation of her voyage from Leith to Auckland. She is due about February 20. The vessel was constructed at Leith for Captain A. F. Wnkelin and Co., and she will be utilised in the Now Zealand coastal trade.
Fully loaded with 5,500,000 gallons of petrol the large electrically-driven tanker Brunswick reached Auckland from San Pedro this week. Owing to the vessel’s deep draught she had to remain in the stream for three hours until the tide rose sufficiently for her to berth at Western wharf.
