HAWERA TOURNAMENT (Per Press Association.) HAWERA, this day. The annual tourney of the South Taranaki Croquet Association, in which 150 players have been taking part during the past week, concluded yesterday, the results of the finals of the principal events being as follow : —■ Open championship, singles: A.. .7. Gibbs (Patea) beat Mrs. J. S. McKay (Hawera), 26—0, 26-10. Open championship doubles: A. J. Gibbs and Mrs. Masters (Patea) beat J. Claque-Mora in and Mrs. J. S. McKay, 26-13. South Taranaki open championship singles: A. J. Gibbs, winner with two lives, beat Mrs. J.. S. McKay, 26—U, and Mrs. A. E. Stevens (Hawera), 26 -3. South Taranaki ladies' championship singles: Mrs. L. J. Bull (Hawera) beat Mrs. J. D. McKay (Eltham), 26-24. 26-0. B grade diarnpiouship singles: Mrs. F. Meredith (Hawera) beat Mrs. W. M. Winks (Hawera), 26—24.
