TWO PEOPLE SHOT

MISTAKEN FOR GAME (Special to the Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. Shot in mistake for game, Mr. and Mrs. F. Wall, a young married couple of VViri, were ordered to Auckland Hospital after receiving medical treatment at Papatoetoe last evening. Mrs. Wall, who was well peppered with shot, was admitted to hospital, and her husband was allowed to return home after receiving treatment. While sitting among a clump of bush in a paddock at Wiri at about 7 o’clock the young couple, who are employed on a farm at Wiri, were wounded with gun shot. Air. and Mrs. Wall were packing up prior to going home after a picnic, and their movements attracted the attention of two men who were '’out hunting rabbits and hares. One of the sportsmen mistaking tho cause of the movement, and scenting the possibility of a kill, immediately fired, wounding both people. _____________
