FIRE ON MAIMOA
THE STEAMER’S CARGO (Per Press Association.! NAPIER, last night. The Maimoa’s. cargo loaded at Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Bluff and Napier consisted of 8386 bales of wool (7761 from Napier), 57,567 carcases of frozen meat (23,905 from Napier), 41,737 boxes of butter, 17,741 crates of cheese, 312 casks of tallow-, 103 casks of pelts, and a- quantity of general cargo, consisting of casings, skins, steariuo, hides, hemp, fat, lard, kauri gum, tow and sundries. The cargo loaded at Auckland in the Maimoa’s No. 3 hold, which is on fire, wa-st eight casks of pelts, 70 .casks- of tallow, 112* barrels of fat, 55 .casks of steariuo and 43 empty cylinders. Other cargo loaded at Auckland was 22,365 boxes of butter, 4792 crates of cheese, 1183 quarters of beef, and 24,000 carcases of mutton. VESSEL REACHES PORT (Bice. Tel. C-opyriclit—United Tress Assn.)
