Excavating the walls of Jericho, Mir Charles Walston's expedition has partly cleared the citadel lewer which was built with walls of brick 12ft. thick and 271 T. high. Professor John Garstang, ot Liveipool University, believes Unit the tower was built in 2000 B.C. and destroyed in 1600 B.G. He hopes to disentangle the whole history of the mound.
