UPROAR IN CHURCH
HOOTING AND STAMPING COMMUNISTS IN PORCE SYDNEY, Jti)i...l!». There were scenes of wild uproar in the Bourke street Congregational Church to-night, when n congregation of 000, which included many Domain orators and much of the Wed element, hooted and stamped during the service. It hail been announced that Mr. T. Walsh, former Seamen's Union, secretary, would speak on Communism and religion. Rev. S. H. Cox presided, and as soon as he appeared the trouble began. Mr, Cox said.at. the outset tlrnt Mr. Boole, of the Worker, was a liar when he said that 12,000 miners hail been deprived of the means of making a living. The Red clement here mounted the pews and boo-hooed vigorously. Me. Cox told them the church was not a debating society, and said they must behave or he would put ■them out. Uproar continued during the rest of iiis address. Disorder marked a good deal of the address by Mr. Walsh, who said the creed of Soviet Russia, was a straight out declaration against all existing religions. They should reflect with horror upon Hie result that would follow from Communist doctrines.
