The State Labor Party conference has decitled in favor of an immediate 44-hour week being made a plank of the Federal Labor platform. The motion also suggested that the State Act be amended so make i v a penal offence to work more than 44 hours in one week. The conference also passed a resolution advocating the total abolition of all forms of piecework, bonuses, or payment by results, and urging an equal living wage for both sexes.
