PICNIC AT PATUTAHI

Great success attended the annual picnic of the Kahutia Bowling . Club,, field yesterday at the riverbank. Patutahi. The function was well attended by members and their families and friends, and the picnickers spent a thoroughly enjoyable outing. Tho weather, though threatening, remained line till late in the afternoon. Rain set in shortly before 6 p.m., and the party was obliged to return to town earlier than was anticipated. A programme of sports was keenly contested, more especially by the younger folk, the results being as under :V-
