Satisfactory prices are reported to have boon received in the Manawatu district, during the past week or two for forward sales of dairy produce. Cheese factories were accepting Bjjjd per lb. f.o.b. for their outputs.

The boys required the aid of an alarm clock to awaken them in the mornings, and when tlie alarm sounded on Friday morning Ivess Iwisted round suddenly in his bed to I urn it off, and in doing so he dislocated his nor 1 !;. The lad was in great niiiii throughout the morning, being unable to move his head, and that afternoon he came into town to attend a doctor, with the result that he was sent to hospital. There his misfortune was reclilied, and though he is now able to get about again, his neck will remain in bandages for some days,
