WOMEN'S CLUB PRIZE.
There is in Paris a nil her unique olub, \v!»!ch exists for the purpose of furthering gastronomy. It is, , of course, not the only gustronomie club in the capital, lint its peculiar feature is that all its members are single women. For a long time these “femmes soples’’ have me! every month at a dinner party, and, apparently, Ihcv are in agreement that partridge is n tasty dish, for they call their club “Ids Belles I’ordrix. ’' The members of the club do other things besides eating a succulent dinner once a month. They are interested in literature and art, and have founded a literary prize of 10, boor (£80), thunks to an anonymous donor. The prize was awarded for the first time last night. It was not given to the best literary work or; cooking, but to, a book by M. Amlro Chamson, on “I,os Hom.mes de la lioute. ”
