EAST COAST BOARD MEETS Tlie East Coafft Rabbit Board met today. Present; Messrs E. M. Hutchinson, in the chair, M. T. Trafford, M. L Holden, and E. M. Monckton. A standard of assessement for stock figures in all cases where cards are not available was agreed upon. Inspector T. Dawson, of Wairoa, io--1 ported: “During the month 1 have been over a. good portion of tins district,, inincluding Tiiiirotq and Ruakilui i country and found everything in order. 1. also inspected some of the country between Nnhnka and Wairoa, but found no traces of rabbits there. Tho gate a! the Moliaka bridge lias been broken beyond repair, and I am having a now gate made. The number of rabbits killed during the month wereMauiigataniwa 2, I’utere 1, Woodlands L total 4.” , : Inspector H. Burgess, of Te Toko, reported: “I have inspected a fair portion of my district during the past two months, and found conditions much the same as usual, with very few traces, of yahbits. The men working the Heruiwi block have thoroughly covered To Whaili country during the past month, but could find no traces of rabbits. T have transferred the man working the block east, of the Whakataue River to Te Telco block. So far his place has not being filled. Rabbits killed during the month were: Kopuriki 3, Galatea 4, Whirnaki 2, total 9.’’
