(Ver Prens Association.) TAIHAPE, this day. Alfred Mair, a boardipghousekeepor, was fitied £3o' by tho magistrate, Mr. Watson, for bobkhiakihg on a small scale. Accused was caught in the act in the street by a policeman. Three voting 'men, W. R. Henderson. W. Aiktiian, and E. A. Hnllidiiii were charged with the theft of oil from a garage at Utikn, arid the thrift of benzine from a tank lorry . standing out side; Henderson arid * Halljday, who had bad records, were sentenced to two years' reformative detention in a Borstal institution. Aikiiian was Ordered' to come up for sentence within 12 months, an'n to pay 'damages totalling £5.
