The Feilding Miow opened yesterday in beautiful weather, 'i lie entries were a record, but the stock entries show a decline compared with last year. Tho dairy classes were the strongest feature, beef cattle having fallen away. The Romney and Southdown ' sheep sections were splendidly supported, and there was keen competition. The following championships wero awarded : Shorthorn: Bull, W. Gray (Feilding). Hereford: Bull, I). P. Buchanan (Feilding). Jersey: Bull, Mrs. I. W. Speirs (Levin); row, 11. J. Horn (Ohau). Friesian: Bull, \V. A, Kyle (Palmerston North); cow, W. J. Fames (Hunterville). Romnev: Ram, W. C. * Small (Feilding); ewe. F. W. Rlatchford (Woodvillei. Southdown: Rani, J. Knight (Feilding) ; ewe, Hugh Burroil and Son (Feilding). Lincoln : Ham and ewe, L. R. Wilton. Berkshire: Boar, J. A. Russell (Palmerston North); sow, J. A. Russell. Tamworth: Boar, Cheltenham Daiiy Co. (Feilding). Large White : Boar, Feilding Agricultural High School ; sow. Feilding Agricultural High School.'
