RIOUX FINED £2OO NOT AN HONEST EFFORT (Received February 5. 3 p.m.) CHICAGO, Feb. 4. , Tha Illinois Boxing Commission has suspended Rioux, with a fine of 1000 dollars (about £200) for his failure to give an honest exhibition of skill in his Ixmt with Camera. Camera, was given a favorable judgment, and received the full purse of 17,000 dollars (about £3100). Rioux's handlers insisted that the fight was not "fixed." They said that Rioux was "scared stiff." When asked why he failed to fight, Rioux replied, "I'tried, but after the first punch 1 knew nothing." On February 6 at Newark (N.J.), Camera meets "Cowboy" Owens, who defeated Rioux and Petersen.
