Early this morning a strange car Was Observed standing outside Woodhill's store in a lonely part of Kurnijoiig. A policeman arrived on the scene, but the driver of the ear instead ot r obeying the call to stop bore down oil tho constable With the evident intention of running over him and he had to jump for his life. The stranger disappeared at breakneck speed and eventually crashed through ti fence near Richmond. Then, in an attempt to hide their, tracks, Hip thieves pushed the derelict down n side lane, but left a quantity of tobacco, believed to have been stMou from the store. The,police sought aid from Richmond aerodrome and two planes swept the locality, living low. hut saw no sign of the fugitives. This is the fifth robbery at Woodhill's store in two years. The stolen ear belonged to a resident, of Mosman.
