AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES
' 'EXAGGERATED PESSIMISM''
(Received February 3 10 a.m.) ■LONDON,-Feb, 2,
The Observer says: "Holders of Australian securities are suffering from exaggerated pessimism. It seems certain that the a.vcrago rate of interest for the maturing of internal debt must be raised to 6 per cent, in order to find the replacement 'money. This naturally has depreciated the value of the stocks in issue, bat .the clouds will pass. Holders of securities, therefore, are illadvised to throw away investments at the prevailing prices."
