GRACEFUL DESCENT
RLIGHT IN GLIDER (Received Feb. .'?, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 1. The first glider ever launched from an airship slipped off the tail of the dirigible Los Angeles cruising at 3000 ft. altitude. Seated in the 2001 b monoplane glider Lieutenant Ralph Barnaby, the only licensed glider pilot in' the United States Navy, gracefully circled Lakehurst, crossing and recrossing the Held a dozen times, and lauding 15 minutes after he had left the airship.
