Arrangements have been made‘by the Salvation Army silver baud to render a special musical programme at the Waikanao beach tomorrow afternoon, commencing at 2.30 o’clock. At Wesley Church to-monrow the Rev. ivo Al. Raynor will lie the morning preacher. At the People’s Service in the evening special anthems will lie rendered by the choir, and the Rev. Geo. Frost' will deliver ari address' on, "The ldfe whidi is the Light of Men. To-night at 7 o’clock Mr. J. Lloyd will continue to sell by auction goods as advertised, on behalf of A. and E. Salon. Those looking for bargains should not miss the opportunity of visiting this auction sale. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week the sales will commence at 2 p.m.* The .subdivision of the portion of the Opou estate to be sold by public auction on March l is now practically completed. In order to allow prospective buyers 'ample time to inspect these subdivisions, plans are being circulated through the Herald on Saturday next. These sections, situated within six miles of Gisborne by bitumen road, should, in addition to the farming community, appeal to the town business mail with a taste for country life.
