About 6.50 p.m. on Tuesday, Alexander Robert Nieol, chiropractor, of Invercargill, accompanied by his wife, was driving a car along "West Plains road towards Invercargill, when at the railway crossing at West Plains he came into collision with the Kingston train, resulting in the car being thrown on to a cattle stop, a distance of 15ft. Somersaulting twice a light two-seater car landed on its wheels on a footpath after being struck by a heavy car at the corner of Fitzherbert and College streets Palmerstou North. Mr. IT.
