OBITUARY
ME. G. S. BEADS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The death has occurred of Mr. Gifford Sherman Reade, aged 84 years, the donor of the land and money for the Naval College to be built at Holbrook, Suffolk, amounting, in all. to £1,000,000. Mr. Reade spent o 5 years in India, where he amassed a large fortune and came to New Zealand fourteen years ago.
