Farther reports of foreigners arriving w from Nanking regarding the Pukow mutiny'show that all the administrative buildings were looted, top and 1 bottom, and every door, window, and desk smashed. Ten new locomotives, two of which were armed, were seized, and the railway officials forced to operate them at the revolver point. Loyal troops were surprised asleep in their billets. Many who offered resists ance were killed, and their bodies thrown on the roadside. Others were disarmed. A punitive expedition has been despatched to Pukow from Nanking, and is now in pursuit of the retreating rebels.
