LABORER FAILS
ESTATE OF C. S. BUCKMAN Owing £lo3|G6s lid to unsecured creditors, and having no assets wliate\er, Charles Samuel Buckman, of Gisborne, laborer, has filed a. petition in bankruptcy, and a meeting of liis creditors will he held in the Gisborne jury room, at 2.30 p.m. on November 26. In his personal statement to the Official Assignee, Mr. J. N. Naldor, bankrupt says:— “For about eight months prior to May, 1927, I was practically out of work, arid it was during that time that I incurred most of my debts. About May, 1927, I obtained employment as a laborer, and have since been more or less constantly employed. I made several attempts to pay off the debts I incurred, but I was never able to reduce the total amount by any great amount. My wife became ill in August, 1528, and was in hospital for about four months, and this placed me further in debt again. Since 1 was transferred to Gisborne 1 have not earned sufficient to reduce my liabilities, and ns two creditors have now taken proceedings against mo I filed a petition in bankruptcy. My creditors have been very lenient with me, and I did my best to pay them off, but have found it impossible.” The following are the unsecured creditors: Gisborne.—Goldsmith and Whinray, £9 7s; R.
