SIR WILLIAM BIRDWOOD
RUMORED APPOINTMENT GOVERNOR-GENERAL OF AUST, (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 14, 1 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 13. It is reported in well, informed Indian circles in London that Field-Marshal Sir William Bird wood will be the next Governor-General of Australia. It is understood that. Sir William Bird wood has been twice pioviously approached, but refused on the grounds of the expense. However, lie lias now decided to accept.
