MR. BRUCE HONORED
GATHERING IN SYDNEY SYDNEY, Nov. 13. Mr. Bruce, former Federal Prime Minister, was entertained at lunch today by representatives of the commercial, industrial, professional, and other sections of the community. Many speeches in his honor were made, and splendid tributes were paid to him as a statesman of broad national ideals. The hope was freely expressed that he would return to public life afteT he had enjoyed a rest. Mr. Bruce, an reply, said Jie would be glad to come back to polities if the people desired , lie should .do so. He added that if his successors succeeded in restoring prosperity to Australia, then the loss of . his political party would not much matter...
