The Parliamentary committee of the Empire Industries Association passed a resolution in favor of closer inter-Em-pire co-operation, with a view to promoting economic unity; also, that a mandate should he secured from the public definitely authorising the Government/u safeguard British industry and agriculture with a free hand to negotiate increased preferences for the treest- possible inter-Empire trade.
