"NOISE SQUAD" FOR POLICE NEW YORK, Sept, 13. New York to-day is by far the noisiest, city in the'world. Therefore, it is proposed to establish a "noise -ijund" as a separate bureau of the police department, which will deal with noise only. Apart from the pandemonium of the ■levated railways, the roar of the street raffic, and the nerve-shattering clamor »f steel rivet tors building the new skylicvnuers,; \b is 'complained Ithat' the wireless loud speakers are. making life in the city almost unbearable. The police seem to share the conviction that so' long as a noisy contrivance remains m a. home nothing can be done about it. But Mr. Robert Ferrari, of NewYork, with the united support of his suffering neighbors, is bringing the loud speaker into court.
