PROPOSED WOOL POOL

ATRICAN MINISTER'S VIEW BRISBANE, Oct. 10. ,Af the beginning of the year, Mr. James Clark, u Queensland pastoralist wrote to the Premier of South Africa in'regard to the marketing of wool pointing out the need for a wool trust composed of Australia, Smith Africa, New Zealand anil the Argentine, lie said it was ridiculous that they should put a product of which they had the monopoly into the market and take what the combined buyers chose to give.
Mr. Clark has now received a reply from the South African Minister to'' Agriculture, which stales thai he is not in a position to express any opinion regarding the position in Australia, but he felt, certain thai, in wool, as in all other products, the most efficient menus by which the producer could acquire a sufficient voice in the disposal of his products was by co-opera-tion.
