Four large transformers, which are to form part of the equipment for the supply of Arapuni power to Auckland, will shortly be assembled at the Penrose substation. Each weighs about 25g tons. Two have already been delivered, and it is hoped that the other two will be removed to Penrose this week. The transformers are to supplement the equipment for breaking down the powgr for the city supply. At present there are two "hanks” of transformers at Penrose. If a fault occurred in one of them there would not he sufficient power to meet city demands, but the new equipment will ensure, safety in this respect. One tin of Norton’s Egg Preservative will keep a petrol tin of eggs fresh all year. Make sure you get the original Norton’s— -at all good grocers. — 4
