WELLINGTON TRIALS \ (Por Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Launcelot Louis John Filers and Clifford James Thomas were charged in the Supreme 'Court ‘before the Chief Justice with forging and attempting to get a motor driver s license. The case will be continued to-morrow. Norris Frank Davcy and John Peris were both found guilty of indecent, assault. The jury brought in a strong recommendation to mercy in the case of Davey. Davcy will be sentenced -to-inorgow and Peris on Friday. George Albert Proudfoot was found guilty of breaking and entering a ■grocer's store, and stealing goods valued at £5 8s 4d. The jury also strongly recommended prisoner to mercy on the grounds that he had been influenced by a companion, who is already awaiting sentence. Proudfoot will jie sentenced on Friday.
