(Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. As a sequel to a collision, Maurice Bateman Hope, a run-holder, of Avyatere, was charged this morning with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. Counsel for defendant argued that there was a difference between the offence of drunkenness while in charge of a car and being in a state of intoxication. A man nowadays was ruled to bo intoxicated if he only had two or three drinks if an accident occurred. The presiding justices fined accused £lO, without cancellation of his license, and declined to suppress the name.
