On the recommendation of the Chief Justice, the Hon. T. M. Wilford was in Wellington to-day appointed by tho Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, to hold office as King's Counsel. —P. A. Mr. Edward William Armstrong, A.R.1.8.A., winner of the competition for the now Christehurch Art Gallery, was elected an Associate of the Architectural Association in .1020, and the following year became an R.1.8.A. Henry Jarvis Student. Mr. Alexander Simpson Feid, D.1.P., A.R.CJL, Aberdeen, A.R.1.8.A., the runner-up of the competition, was elected an Associate in 1922, and, in winning the Ashpitel Prize the same year, gained a distinction in thesis.
