MS. H. T. B. DREW’S WORK LONDON, Sept, 6. The World’s Weekly Press, an outstanding weekly publication, and _ the only one of its kind, devotes considerable space in each issue to men and women of note in the journalistic world, with details, of their records. The paper is also devoting a section, to Dominion publicity officers. For the issue of September '5, a representative has interviewed' Mr. H. T. B. Drew, journalist and publicity officer in London for New Zealand. The writer' remarks : “Under the present very ‘live’ High Commissioner, v.ii' James Parr, New Zealand publicity has developed very greatly. One has only, to walk along .the, Strand and bo sure to find at all hours of the day a crowd of interested spectators, men. women and children, gazing, into the windows of the New Zealand Government Offices at 415. Strand. Busy bees proclaim the goodness of honey : swordfish. trout, etc., the glories of New Zealand as the angler’s paradise; blankets and wools and carcases, the virtues o: New Zealand mutton and lamb, and pictures portray the scenic beauties of the Great, Britain of the Southern Hemisphere.” Further one reads: “When in 1921 the New Zealand Government decided to establish a publicity department, they paid a high compliment to the journalistic profession. From the numerous applications received, the Public Service Commissioner selected Mr. 11, T. B. Drew, a New Zealander by birth, whose career has been a romance Details are given of Mr. Drew’s journalistic record/ his war service, and his association with the compilation of New Zealand’s official war record.
