The magnificent scenery both at the glacier and on the route thereto remains a. vivid memory with all who visit Franz Josef, and it is regrettable that so fine an asset to the tourist traffic in the Dominion should be seriously affected by a misapprehension on t>lie part of the general public. Warm tributes to the services performed by the club’s secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. J. Stock, were paid by the chairman, Mr. R. U. Burke, at the annual meeting of the Gisborne Lawn Tennis Club last evening.
